Another NECA Excellence Award for O’Donnell Griffin – for the ACT team

O'Donnell Griffin's installation works for the Queanbeyan substation capacitator bank project was awarded at the 2012 National Electrical Communications Association (NECA) ACT Excellence Awards in the Small Industrial Project category.

The winners were announced last Friday at the annual ceremony in Canberra.

Kevin Burgess, Service Manager for O’Donnell Griffin, who was on hand to accept the award said the win was fantastic in recognising the team, given the challenging and hazardous nature of the installation.

“The Queanbeyan substation capacitor bank project is a solid example of O’Donnell Griffin’s teamwork and ability to work successfully, in close proximity to high voltage equipment with no shutdown time, to achieve successful results for our customer,” he says.

“Its’ successful delivery has already led to additional contracts.”

“I would like to congratulate the ACT team for their fantastic efforts in leading this project, which continue to grow and enhance our capabilities within the power sector.”

O’Donnell Griffin now joins all other State winners to be judged at the NECA National Excellence Awards on 29 November 2012 in Brisbane.
