National Recognition for O’Donnell Griffin with NECA Safety Award


Following on from their State NECA Award win, the Victorian O’Donnell Griffin team were awarded with the National Occupational Health and Safety Award at last week’s gala dinner in Melbourne. The National Electrical and Communications Association (NECA) is the peak industry body that represents the best interests of the electrical and communications contracting industry in Australia. The NECA Awards recognise the best in electrical and communications projects in Australia.

Victoria’s Health and Safety Manager, Steve Pulbrook, was on hand at the NECA Excellence Awards the to accept the win. On receipt of the award, Steve said that the greatest positive force for safety is our people.

“This award recognises the trust, dedication and passion for safety of our employees at all levels that keeps our workplace safe. So it is to them, that this award belongs,” he said.

O’Donnell Griffin’s Chief Executive David Rafter commended Steve and his team for such an excellent result.

“The award was recognition for what must now be considered as industry best practice for the Incident Investigation System and reflects the hard work that Steve and the business have put into Health and Safety,” David said.

O’Donnell Griffin, Victoria, is to be congratulated on their National and State wins in the Occupational Health and Safety category for their Incident Investigation Process. This process was developed and implemented to investigate all significant incidents resulting in injuries to employees or disruption to site operations.
